Project: Strengthening of 60 Climate Smart Agro-Based Enterprises through provision of Business development services in Northern Uganda Selected Districts in Lango and Acholi Sub region: Tasks executed by BIMUKA
- Developing selection criteria and publish call for applications for Climate Smart MSMEs and Business Mentors
- Conducted training sessions to potential candidates in ideation process, application process.
- Identified 60 Climate smart agro-MSMEs with the most innovative proposals to participate in the project.
- Recruited 10 Business mentors and enhanced their Mentorship and coaching skills through 5 Day training.
- Assessed the business development needs of the 60 MSMEs and developed a BDS training manual
- Training 60MSMEs in business planning, (Production, Marketing, management, Financial) supporting them in implementation strategies for their plans.
- Training MSMES staff in climate smart management of their businesses.
- Training MSMEs in integration of ICT in their business operations.
- Designing sustainable mentorship and coaching models; and deliver tailored business support (Mentorship and coaching) to the varied enterprises.

Project: Consultancy services for the management and overall implementation responsibility of the Business Development Services Component to 2000 Fisheries SMES in 15 Districts on Lake Victoria. Duties executed by BIMUKA
- Provided Technical support in developing Business Development services Training Manual.
- Prepared TORS for selection of Project Trainers, Mentors and Coaches (TOTs); recruitment of 19 TOTS
- Trained 19 TOTs for 14 days in provision of Business development services delivery skills (Training, Coaching and mentorship of SMES).
- Worked with GIZ-RFBCP, published a call for applications and selected 2000 SMEs, (Project beneficiaries)
- Technical assistance (TA) in delivery of Enterprise Skilling; Financial Management Training; Responsible Fisheries Training; Business Planning to 2000 SMEs, Business Formalisation, Financial Linkages, email -marketing.
- Trained 2000 SMES staff in application of simple ICT skills (ICT Utilization in Record Management, digital financial management) in their business.
- Provided capacity building skills to 2000 SMEs in application of abavubi Fisher app. The app is a green technology and business data management tool for sustainable business development, management and marketing of fisheries products and services in Uganda.
- Trained 2000 SMEs on Understanding Uganda’s Tax Regulations, Compliance, and Offences & Penalties.
- Facilitated 500 SMEs and registered with Uganda Revenue Authority- tax identification Number –TIN)

- Conducted the Selection of 10 farm and business mentors from Technical staff of Kibinge Coffee Farmers Cooperative Society Bukomansimbi.
- Trained 10 Farm and Business mentors in mentorship skills to provide innovative farming and business skills;
- Trained farmers in innovative agriculture productivity skills, managing farms as businesses.
- Trained farmers on farm and financial management/literacy and production of quality coffee.
- Installation of 24 Coffee Solar Drier which is a green technology for drying harvested coffee.
- Training Farmers on making farm organic fertilisers

Project: Business advisory support to 710 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in 7 districts of Mukono, Kampala, Wakiso Mpigi, Kalungu, Masaka, Kyotera and Kalangala: Tasks executed by BIMUKA:
- Participated in selection of project participates;
- Conducted the Selection and training of 10 specialists to provide coaching and Mentorship services to 710 SMEs.
- Conducted Physical and Virtual training of 710 SMEs owners and managers in the following modules: – (i) The concept of business plan and strategic planning (ii) Financial planning (iii) Strategic sales and marketing Investment readiness (iv) Performance measurement
- Trained 710 SMEs manager in skills of adopting ICT in their day to day business operations
- Linked the SMEs to URSB to formalize their businesses
- Linked SMES to financial institutions to open up bank accounts and to access credit facilities.
- Technical support and quality management to Federation of Fisheries Organizations Uganda (FFOU) in Designing, launching, operationalization and Publicizing of Abavubi Fisher application (app). The Abavubi Fisher apps is a green technology and business data management tool for sustainable business development, management and marketing of fisheries products and services in Uganda. This app was funded by GIZ-RFBCP.

Project: Management of the Fisheries Business Competition for SMEs and Business Training Camp on behalf of GIZ-RFBCP in 22 Districts of Lake Victoria. Tasks executed by BIMUKA:
- Prepared Selection criteria Tools, Prepared News article for call of applicants, prepared application forms, delivered them to all the Districts.
- Evaluated the SMEs Application;
Conducted Business Camp for the best SMEs, developed training tools, trained SMEs in Business Skills, Marketing, Operations, and Financial Management. Trained and supported SMEs in developing individual business plans. Together with GIZ-RFBCP organized and awarded the prizes to the best SMEs.

Project: Evaluation of Anti-Corruption Campaign 2018 funded by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Following the implementation of the campaign, GIZ contracted BIMUKA on behalf of IG, OAG, PPDA, DEI and JLOS to evaluation of ACC 2018 to assess the relevance, implementation, and early evidence of the effectiveness of the campaign. Purpose of the evaluation: The overall aim of the evaluation was to assess the relevance, implementation and early evidence of effectiveness of the ACC 2018. In addition, and of major importance for future learning; it also sought to identify the factors contributing to the success or failures of the campaign and seek to identify good practices and; crucially, the conditions under which such practices are transferable.

Project: Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Training to Business Development Service (BDS) trainees on Lake Victoria”
Duties executed by BIMUKA
- Conducting an assessment of the SRHR needs of the target project beneficiaries.
- Develop relevant and customised SRHR-information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials.
- Organise and hold information dissemination events/activities like radio talk shows.
- Conduct 5 days’ training to the 2000 trainees in each of the 15 districts
- Organize and distribute condoms and reusable pads to the 2000 BDS trainees.
- Organize a final coordination meeting to share successes and learning points of the project
- Organize linkage events/meetings between the BDS trainees and the existing Sexual and reproductive health services.
- Develop a final assignment report entailing Successes, challenges, and learnings of the project
- Submit to GIZ- RFBCP, the final assignment report and other data sets (high resolution photos, databases, attendance lists deemed relevant.

Project: Labour Market Needs Assessment in Greater Masaka
The Cotton on Foundation (COF) commissioned BIMUKA Capital and Finance Consult Limited and carried out a Labour Market Needs Assessment (LMNA) in Greater Masaka. The objective of the study was to inform the Vocational training course offerings of the Vocational Education Training Institutions by identifying current and emerging Labour Market needs within Uganda and specifically within the Greater Masaka region. The study also identified five viable courses and proposed institutions for partnership with COF in vocational skills training and internships/ apprenticeships improvement in order to increase the employability of the youth in the region.
